CLEVA Terms of Use
Last updated: 3 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Eniola Okikioluwa ("CLEVA", "we") for your use of the CLEVA app and website. By creating an account you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use CLEVA
You must be at least 18 and the parent or legal guardian of any child you add. Children use CLEVA only through a parent's account and under that parent's supervision. You are responsible for your children's use of CLEVA.
2. What CLEVA provides
CLEVA offers an AI tutor, practice questions and past exam papers (for example WAEC and JAMB), progress tracking and alerts for parents. CLEVA supports your child's learning. It does not replace school, teachers or professional advice.
Answers from the AI tutor can be wrong or incomplete. We work to check our question bank carefully, but we do not guarantee that every answer or explanation is correct, or any exam result.
3. Your account
- Keep your sign-in details and parent PIN private. Do not share your PIN with your children.
- You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us at support@clevastudy.app if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
- Give accurate information, including your children's class, so CLEVA can teach at the right level.
4. Safety checks and AI consent
CLEVA checks children's messages for safety concerns and alerts you as described in our Privacy Policy. By using CLEVA you agree to these checks. AI features only work after you agree to how CLEVA uses AI, and you can withdraw that agreement in Settings at any time.
5. Subscriptions and payment
- CLEVA has a free plan with daily limits and paid plans with more features, as shown in the app before you buy.
- Paid plans are billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store, using the payment method on that account.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
- Cancel any time in your Google Play or App Store subscription settings. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their own policies. This does not affect any rights you have under Nigerian consumer law.
- If we change prices, we will tell you in advance, and the new price applies from your next renewal.
6. Acceptable use
You and your children must not:
- use CLEVA for anything illegal or harmful;
- try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or get around CLEVA's security, limits or safety checks;
- copy, resell or republish CLEVA's questions, explanations or other content;
- use another family's account, or let anyone else use yours;
- use automated tools to extract content from CLEVA.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where possible we will tell you first.
7. Content and ownership
CLEVA's app, design, explanations, learning materials and software belong to us or our licensors. Past exam questions remain the property of their exam bodies.
Your family's messages and activity belong to you. You allow us to use them only to run CLEVA for your family, as our Privacy Policy describes.
8. Changes and availability
We keep improving CLEVA and may add, change or remove features. We aim to keep CLEVA available, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings, or by emailing support@clevastudy.app from your account email. Deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription; cancel it in Google Play or the App Store too. We may end these terms if you seriously or repeatedly break them.
10. Limits on our responsibility
CLEVA is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for decisions made on the basis of AI answers. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that Nigerian consumer law gives you and that cannot be excluded.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If we have a disagreement, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If we can't, the dispute will be decided by a court of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using CLEVA after that, the new terms apply.
